With Kickstarter beta access on GOG.com!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is becoming one of the biggest, most successful Kickstarter campaigns in history.

Straight from the under the watchful eye of Koji Igarashi, one of the godfathers of the genre, comes the newest exploration-focused, side scrolling platformer with RPG and crafting elements. In short, it's shaping up to be the biggest Metroidvania release in recent memory - already surpassing its original Kickstarter goal by sixfold. As of right now that is.

We're huge fans of IGA and Castlevania, so when we heard that Koji Igarashi was returning to the genre we knew we wanted to work with the team to play our part in getting this amazing spiritual successor out there, completely DRM-free, with our signature kind of customer love.

That's why we're excited to announce that we'll be supporting the upcoming release with DRM-free versions to all Kickstarter backers of the game pledging $28 or more!

Everyone who backs the project at the $60 tier (or higher) will receive not only a DRM-free digital copy of the game, but also exclusive backer-only content and access to the beta, all right here on GOG.com.

You can make your pledge over on Kickstarter, and stay tuned for future backer updates with more details on how to get started with your access to the beta.

Oh wow, I didn't back the kickstarter because I didn't think it was coming to GOG. Now all my money is going into the summer sale.

This is going to be an amazing game, good job GOG!

PS. Bring Yooka-Laylee here as soon as possible, best game to ever be on kickstarter (also its the only one I've ever backed)

Jumped the gun a little there, GOG, the game isn't going to be out for another couple years.
If I wanted to beta or kickstart I'd be on steam or kickstarter! ;)
I would argue that La-Mulana 2 is going to be the superior metroidvania...but it is still good to see Bloodstained on GOG. Pledged.

Hahahahahahahaha! Coming soon! Hahahahahahahaha!
Just to be clear, once the game is released, it will be fully available for purchase here at GOG, right?

60 dorrah is a bit much, but I'd definitely buy a copy later, if the game shows up on GOG. Symphony of the Night was ( is ) an excellent game, so here's hoping this project will turn out well.

They do have a vague definition of "coming soon", don't they? :P

You can always pledge for $28 if you don't care about extras, beta, and stuff.

This game isn't for me, but I do like that confirmations for Gog releases of Kickstarter games are announced like this before the end of the campaign, so I can decide to back a game knowing for sure it will be released here. :-)

Well, you know. The relation between "soon" and the common time line can be likened to the relation between imaginary numbers and the common real numbers.

I do not see what is so funny. This is GOG, Mar 2017 is soon™.

That's exactly what I thought. :P

Well, it's funny because it obliterates Crawl as the soonest™ game to be released by GOG. Also, Mar 2017 is only an estimate. Nobody can guarantee that it won't take longer. ;)
Sweet! I didn't know about this so this is great for me as Symphony of the Night is one of my all-time favorite games :D
