With Kickstarter beta access on GOG.com!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is becoming one of the biggest, most successful Kickstarter campaigns in history.

Straight from the under the watchful eye of Koji Igarashi, one of the godfathers of the genre, comes the newest exploration-focused, side scrolling platformer with RPG and crafting elements. In short, it's shaping up to be the biggest Metroidvania release in recent memory - already surpassing its original Kickstarter goal by sixfold. As of right now that is.

We're huge fans of IGA and Castlevania, so when we heard that Koji Igarashi was returning to the genre we knew we wanted to work with the team to play our part in getting this amazing spiritual successor out there, completely DRM-free, with our signature kind of customer love.

That's why we're excited to announce that we'll be supporting the upcoming release with DRM-free versions to all Kickstarter backers of the game pledging $28 or more!

Everyone who backs the project at the $60 tier (or higher) will receive not only a DRM-free digital copy of the game, but also exclusive backer-only content and access to the beta, all right here on GOG.com.

You can make your pledge over on Kickstarter, and stay tuned for future backer updates with more details on how to get started with your access to the beta.

I take it I'm the only one turned off by the concept art. I just didn't expect so much color from the goth style.
Cool, but, as I cannot back anything now, I hope that the exclusive digital content will be unlockable sometime in the future.
Dat Pile of Secrets...
low rated
Gog becomes worse and worse while Steam becomes better and better...

*sigh*

Quel monde...
Neat. And here I was thinking "it'd be nice if this came to GOG eventually". I'll probably back this now.

Maybe.

Probably not at the beta access tier. I've been spending way too much recently. My credit card is glaring at me.
They haven't updated the kickstarter page to include GOG in the $28 and $60 tiers it still only says the consoles and steam. Therefore, I ask how do we tell them to give us the GOG version of the game and not the steam one?

Also would to much to ask for you to hit me up with some Yooka-Laylee?

From the Kickstarter page:

Selecting the GOG version of the game will be simple: If your tier includes a copy of the game, whether it's digital or physical, you'll be able to choose between these platforms (so far!) when the survey comes:

GOG
Steam
PS4
XB1
Wii U

Haha, I found out about this when they replied to my message on KS. Came here, posted the great news in the thread about the KS and then discovered GOG had made a bloody great news post about it.

GOG, see if you can get Yooka-Laylee by Playtonic onboard now. Seriously, surf the publicity wave and keep the momentum going!

Grargar: Hahahahahahahaha! Coming soon! Hahahahahahahaha!
This is GOG-soon. You know, like when Galaxy came out last year.

They indeed said TBA 2014 for Galaxy, but you know that TBA is a curse that must not be uttered, because the product will then be delayed.

Riotact: I don't get this, is it like Early Access for Galaxy or something?
Probably not a 'public' early access thing like Steam does. I imagine it'll only be for backers just to see how the thing they backed is coming on.

Grargar: Well, it's funny because it obliterates Crawl as the soonest™ game to be released by GOG. Also, Mar 2017 is only an estimate. Nobody can guarantee that it won't take longer. ;)
All the more reason to be a perfect fit for GOG.

And Crawl has a reputation to uphold.
Omg! This game is going to be awesome!!
Wow, thanks for making this happen CDPR.

Corwim: This game isn't for me, but I do like that confirmations for Gog releases of Kickstarter games are announced like this before the end of the campaign, so I can decide to back a game knowing for sure it will be released here. :-)
My thoughts exactly!
