It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Pajama: The 'Avernum series' forum is showing up on the Community page with the date Nov. 30, -0001 instead of the time/date of the last posting.
It was recently changed. Once someone makes a post in that forum that date will be changed to the last posted date.

HypersomniacLive: Not particularly in the mood to be told to try a different browser...
I've updated my FireFox and everything seems to be working fine. Can you provide any other details? Maybe there are some notifications in console.
Well... I'm posting this message in FF 42 in safe mode (all addons/personal data turned off). There is no issue. If I could ask to try reinstall FF 42 and check console for any messages, that would help a lot. For now I simply can't recreate this.

toxicTom: I think I had almost the same "view" when one of the servers was blocked by NoScript.
There could be many issues. Broken navbar points to general error in Javascript that led to halt of the whole application. In 99% of cases it is because of missing some JS components, which are missing because of -- mostly -- broken assets (incomplete files). If you have blocked any cdns and we sent you our assets from those particular cdns, this error can occur. But it is still hypothesis.

Red messages in console would tell us more.

Thank you for all these details. I can't confirm this bug yet, but I will send it over to further examination.

SecurityError: The operation is insecure. 7628c54-f6d660a.js:14:0
I easily recreated this bug, by setting some cookies accessibility options, namely I ordered FF to ask me every time, when a domain wants to store a cookie. I needed to mark to remember my choice for .gog.com domain. Hope that will help.
avatar
JDelekto: Is this something that can be set from the server side, perhaps a header to the client? or at least something which requires the client to make that choice consciously?
That's a question for Mozilla :), but I really don't think so. Having user's privacy options accessible from some server side would be just asking for trouble. Unimaginable.

HypersomniacLive: Are you telling me that the problem lies with me clearing my cookies every time I close my browser?
I can't really comment on your setup in a meaningful way. I can only say this: clearing cookies won't break anything. What is more, I can't even recreate this bug with the same settings. Maybe gog.com domain was added to some list I am not aware of. Nevertheless, the bug was strictly because some JS code raised an Security Error. The JS code halted whole app, because the app was not even setup yet, so we couldn't catch it and disarm it. That is why whole UI wasn't very useable.

HypersomniacLive: Not sure if there's a bug with the automated replies to support tickets, or if this was just a single glitch - I submitted a support ticket on Nov 15, 2015, and received two automated emails with two different ticket numbers assigned to my ticket (J9KIZQOX and 2536J0H2).
Did you accidentally click the "Send" button twice? What you are describing in your post usually happens when the "Send" button is clicked twice in rapid succession :)

HypersomniacLive: I'm too old to still manage such rapid mouse-click successions, even if I tried. ;-)
Well, I am not getting into the whole age debate but I believe the system must've registered the "Send" button being pressed twice which is why you had two different ticket numbers for the same ticket :) In any case, this shouldn't be a regular occurrence :)

HypersomniacLive: True, it is.

I have another issue, also pretty irregular.

I get a message notification, I open my chat, and land on the conversation I last sent a message, not the one I last received one, even if my message is older than the one I received.

Has this happened to you?
avatar
ElTerprise: Yup. That has happened to me as well - once or twice...
Thanks guys - we'll try to reproduce that. Looks a little hard to bite if it's irregular. Did you see the notification on the conversations list too, or in the top "account" menu only? Sounds like the notification about unread message comes from previous one that you got, but notification queue is overloaded (the irregular part) and works with a delay. Still - shouldn't happen.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Great, this issue is back again, and the Account tab is completely missing on the forum when logged in. Visiting the front page, and refreshing or re-opening the forum does not fix it.
avatar
Grargar: Can confirm this is also happening on Chrome, but not on Pale Moon.
Doesn't happen on Chromium, however :)
I can confirm that account dropdown in header and cart are not appearing on forum pages.
We're very sorry for that, it will be fixed 23 November around 10:00 UTC.

To see the account tab and working cart (or just log in) please go to main main page of . You can also <span class="bold">go directly to account</span> via link: [url=http://www.gog.com/account]http://www.gog.com/account

If you wanted to use users tooltip on forums:

To access chat with user that you did conversate with before, go here: http://www.gog.com/account/chat
To open a new conversation you can either go to this link:
https://www.gog.com/u/USERNAME/chat
(replace "USERNAME" with actual user name)
Or go to
http://www.gog.com/account/friends
Then click "INVITE NEW FRIEND" and search for specific user - then chat or invite him.

To go to users wishlist (if public, otherwise you'll get 404): https://www.gog.com/u/USERNAME/wishlist
(replace "USERNAME" with actual user name)

You're right guys (smelling devs here :D) - I've already made a fix and tested it in my home but I can't risk deploying to production on the weekend. There's a few reasons for that - as Wishbone have said - unforseen consequences (oh, I knew those words reminds me of something!), possibly much worse than not having account button and user-hover-tooltip on forums.

It shouldn't break in the first place though, so I'm very sorry for that.

Missing account button and user tooltip issues are fixed.

catpower1980: Since the "missing account login button" started to kick in a few days ago, I noticed that notifications for forum replies don't work anymore, I tought it was going to be resolved wit the return of the login button but no....
