Once GOG Galaxy launches (by the end of August, the folks at GOG tell us), they will be able to take advantage of all the features this DRM-free online gaming platform offers."

Thought that might be interesting...note the mention of 'DRM-free" by the way :)

Leaving the game aside for a moment...has anybody been able to download the soundtrack from the Larian Vault yet?

Not able to buy the game, not able to download any soundtrack.....

The CE contains two copies of the game, that's why, probably. And the base game is 40€. Looks about right, I guess (not 60 like for AAA games, but not 20-30 or lower for Indie games).

Edit: And I just saw it also contains two copies of Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity. So it's actually a pretty good bundle price, I guess.

I don't know what GOG is doing, but I was going to buy this today from them. I'm probably going to just buy the Steam version now. I sincerely hope that this delay for Galaxy doesn't mean it's a mandatory client. They've really dropped the ball here and are harming their reputation each day this continues to go on.

Oh good. That's a relief then. I've always bought games on here over Steam when possible and it really hurt me to be mad at GOG. I'm glad that I won't have to wait two months. A few more days is reasonable I suppose. Also I wonder if this whole fiasco has shown us that Galaxy will be coming out in two months? Or maybe just D:OS gets support for it then?

That's not 100% clear yet I don't think, but they did say before that The Witcher Adventure Game would be releasing as a beta sometime this fall and would debut part of GOG Galaxy multiplayer functionality IIRC, suggesting if one read between the lines that the client itself would not necessarily be available right at the same time, but I believe they did say the client would be available this fall sometime too.

It's possible that D:OS will debut Galaxy multiplayer unrelated to whether or not the full blown Galaxy client and services fully launch, since GOG did say that the client itself and the multiplayer service are two separate independent things which just share the name Galaxy IIRC.

They've also announced within the last week though that they will be making some new announcements and updates about Galaxy, Linux support and The Witcher Adventure game really really soon if I recall correctly, so hopefully they drop a tonne of information on us about all of this stuff ASAP to quell the desperate cries for information we all have. :)

In case there are other Kickstarter D:OS backers here who had a Steam Alpha key and want a GOG final version:
I have no idea if I'm (really) late to the party, but this morning I was able to destroy my Steam Alpha key in the Larian Vault and change it to a GOG key. I just downloaded the game and am now installing :)
