Sirius1911: this game as it is now should be picked on steam because of the constant patches they will release and are releasing right now, gog dont update their games very quickly (one of the biggest downsides of gog IMO hope with galaxy this ends) again if I have to chose I'll probably pick gog version but with this game in this particularly moment steam is a better option
I actually don't feel that way. Even when a patch is released I prefer to wait a few days to a week. Too many times I've seen games broken by patches or have patches that make changes I don't want in my game. I like to wait a bit and then decide if I want to install it. With automatic updates or systems like Steam, you don't get to choose what patch level you want. You're forced to the latest when you allow it to patch.

well I agree with you on that and I am one of those people who likes to wait even if it means a month to play a proper version and not just play it in the first day and later on found a bug that kills a quest or something like that and having to start everything again.
Everything I said was directed to those people who cant wait to play the game (those who spend hours on the early access version even if it wasnt completed or polished at all)
I'm probably going to wait a week or two honestly... seems like the game is still a buggy mess and has missing features, and this isn't even counting the 80% of the game we haven't explored yet... sigh.
to be honest it is a pretty big game with many many things on it, if skyrim was bugged as hell on release (bugs of all type even BSOD) this one with a budget much more reduced well its to be expected. But lets just wait until the release date to see, (got the early access but didn't play it for more than 10 min so I cant really tell)

Bethesda games have ~always~ been buggy, going right back to the days when they only made DOS games. Heck even Terminator Future Shock had the SAME transition loading issues that Skyrim did, as well as Daggerfall. I think it might have something to do with their codebase (because Gamebryo engine is ancient and goes back to Morrowind, and probably shared code with XnGine) and just their programmers.

maybe their programmers are bugged, I'm 99% serious on this one xD
I suspect we'll see the release here on Monday. I don't find it suspicious there hasn't been mention of it here.

Not to mention, how would GOG'ers receive their DLC as per Kickstarter tiers? No mention of that for GOG'ers.

As a Kickstarter backer, on release, you will have the option to download the game via Steam or GOG, just like we promised.
So the GOG installer will be ready on release day, in which case there's no reason for GOG not to make the game available for purchase on the same day.

Via Larian Vault, I believe.

Based on what? There's no input field next to the DLC items on the Vault, and since GOG don't carry DLC gift keys...

True--I have a 'vault' marker only next to the digital art book. However, that's how they initially handled the Imperial DLC for Dragon Commander when some of the GOG keys turned out to be for the regular edition.

I don't think that GOG gift codes distinguish between games and DLC. If you're receiving additional content that will also be sold separately on GOG, you should receive a gift code for it from Larian that you can redeem the regular way.
Fair enough.

MaximumBunny: Will there be any problems connecting with someone who's using the GOG version if I'm using the Steam? :o
I would like an answer on this point as well.
D:OS will have LAN and Direct IP multiplayer in the GOG version, so you can play with Steam players via Direct-IP between GOG and Steam.
