Ren02: Yeah well the GUI is fairly terrible. I don't know what various crafting items can be used for and there's no reference anywhere in the game. So I do carry them with me at all times. And the weight mod is useful for this. I edited most of the heavier weights back to their original number though. I really don't need 5 sets of armor and a dozens of swords with me at all times. So if I pick up too much heavy shit I have to get rid of it. Sort of "half-weight mod".
just learn to memorize ingredients, it's really not that.
Loot wisely, not with greed and lust.
I'd love a place for storage.

Yeah well, first playthrough in chapter 3 even with the damn mod I only had 10 robust cloth while the draug armor schematic required 18. None of the traders offered it either. Some had a diagram for solid cloth but I couldn't connect the dots, silly me... The Witcher 2 Item Database should be bloody implemented in the game itself.
I don't use the zero weight mod, but I really hate not having any storage. If there were a mod that added storage to each chapter I'd be a happier witcher.
I use it, I don't see it as cheating, it just saves running back to vendors all the time. I wouldn't bother if they'd remembered to give us some form of storage.
of course it's freaking cheating. and so is using the 0.1 weight mod.

of course it's freaking frustrating needing something 45mins after you've vendored it. that's why you take notes for your followup playthroughs.

besides, anything you really 'need' is marked as a quest item.

Cheating is unfairly gaining an advantage, this just saves needlessly running back and forth.

Being able to carry more is gaining an advantage.

It's your game, you can play it however you want, but just don't try to say it's not cheating when it so obviously is.
I have to. I think it is unfair to penalise the player for being prepared. If there was a storage system then there'd be no need for it.

How is it cheating, it doesn't give an unfair advantage, all it does is remove an unreasonably annoying restriction.

As far as I'm concerned the zero weight adjustment is an absolute neccessity if you don't want to have to put up with stupid and annoying gameplay (on top of the rest of the annoyances).
i guess i just don't find it that hard to scroll through and drop some of the items that are worth 1 oren per weight or less.

seriously, it might add up to what.... 500 orens over the course of the game? dropping cheap crap on the side of the road is not that much harder than selling it off at a vendor, is it?

CaptainKremin: How is it cheating,
You really need someone to explain something that basic to you?

OK, I'm looking at your avatar and nodding....

You need to narrow you perceptions of the word 'cheat'... cheat implies an unfair deception... however in this particular case where no provisions are made for storage, which in itself under your terms would be a cheat by the devs (really no hidden barrels anywhere... hidden places under a bush?) it merely removes an unfair and unreasonable restriction.

So changing the game, yes... cheating, no.
I use it for the simple reason I found going to the vendors so often very tedious.

Is it cheating?

Of course it is. No, it doesn't alter gameplay, morph weapons into something they are not, improve your abilities or decrease those of the opponents you face, but yes, it still must be considered cheating, IMO.
