Magmarock: Who knows, but talk about getting free drama over nothing. To think just a few simple decisions could've saved them a lot of pain. All they had to say was. "guys we're gonna have to delay the game again until further notice. Rest assured we are still working on it, but Covid has thrown a spanner in the works and we need extra time."

Not sure how much Covid affected them but it was a golden opportunity to delay the game further without drama if they wanted.
This is something I've been thinking for a while now, CDPR had a perfect get-out-of-trouble-free card with COVID that even their shareholders would be unlikely to question, and were too dumb to take it.

They've become quite good at seizing defeat form the jaws of victory.

richlind33: I don't think time is the issue. What was released represents the best that current management is capable of, hence the stock devaluation.

Magmarock: No I think management could've been done better.
They had 8 years and couldn't manage to release something that was even somewhat polished. That's a hell of a long time in the development world, especially when investors have insane expectations re short term returns. I guess they can try to crowdfund going forward, but good luck getting console users to support that. And who is going to want to work for them? Not the kind of talent that they used to have, that's for sure.
