Matewis: I still have to play it and it does look awesome, but what I'm talking about is a similar isometric post apocalyptic game but :
Like F1 and F2 it shouldn't really be a party based game, with only 2/3 henchmen max, and
like F1 and F2 it should be extremely open world. Admittedly, I'm not sure how open world Wasteland 2 is having not yet played it. It's on my backlog :)
Fever_Discordia: UnderRail looks pretty sweet too, if it ever gets out of Early Access...

Matewis: Cool stuff, didn't know about that. The fallout inspiration is strong with this one, and some of the visuals even look a bit like a cross between LBA and Fallout.
get the big alpha downlaod and try it yourself i am trying it out now, its a bit heavy on my machine
quadcore 2.67 8 gb ram win7
nvidia GTS 250 1gb ram
17inch ctx monitor (defaulst at 1024x768)
the screen is to blurry for me becuase of the old monitor (cant buy others then ctx because of known reasons)
The game looks like fallout classics and many steam users think its wonderful, but i would also read the down votes, cause these are making a lot of sense, and i read some of these and i can agree on lots of things, and afteral it is not fallout and i think it will never be fallout, the graphics look like pixel and vector combo, the way to walk is drawing a sort of line and then move ? what a weird way of moving, i also think the devs wanted too much, theres to much happening on the screen at once, to many dialogs, too many long conversations.
Character is also a bit small, you need a microscope to clearly see where you are.
Underrail had loads of potential, i hope the devs take the time to read all the steam and other feedback
especially the negative ones, cause these will tell what is good and what can be done better.
As it is now i stick to fallout classic, when you talked to npc it had atmosphere, this talking in underrailed looks simpler.
I also liked the animations in fallout classic a lot.
My suggestion to the devs is, play the original fallout classic a few times, and dont be ashamed of 'copying' more things to make it look like fallout, cause the more it looks like the great fallout classic the more i like it.
The way the combat goes now looks more like invisible inc(i have that game but its not what i thought it would be)
Furthermore the graphics look like vectors, so my tip too the devs please use graphics in fallout style.
And last but not least, The inventory is too much, there are just too much items you can use and combine, fallout was simple , had simple layout and inventory and i loved it.
Finally the movement in the dungeons, when moving neighboring tiles and locations are visible light up and are displayed,/revealed, please dont do that, please do it like fallout classic did when you walked through the dungeons.
And yes fallout classics were the best games i bought , second are jagged alliance classics, baldurs and all things like that., ow and also the classic commandos, these were good games, good graphics, and no vectorlike invis. inc.
uses.
